The Project: Starbucks

Project Description

Starbucks is a well-known coffee company founded in Seattle, Washington in 1971 that operates in more than 29,324 locations around the world. The program includes several new projects, including architectural and interior design plans that followed the templates and standards of the brand. Only in the US, the brand operates 14,606 coffee houses that are almost the same number the brand operates in the rest of the world (14,718 stores located internationally). Starbucks is well-known for putting special attention in the design of their stores, taking into consideration what its customers want and feel when they use their space. So it was a challenge to work in the Interior Design documentation as well as performing the MEP documentation for several stores across the US.

Scope of work

Our scope of work included working during the Schematic Design and Construction Drawings phases, providing BIM modeling services using Revit software as well as AutoCAD documentation for 2D drawings. The scope also included coordinating the design criteria, developing the drawings and ensuring the brand standards were followed. The program included several new projects, including architectural and interior design plan development.
