The Project: JUANITA AVENUE APARTMENTS

Project Description

636 North Juanita Avenue is a 33-unit luxury multifamily development located in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles, California. Silver Lake's Virgil Village neighborhood features exceptional walkability and is renowned for its trendy atmosphere, innovative cuisine, and burgeoning independent arts scene. Its vicinity bolsters the location to Hollywood's growing entertainment, media, and tech industries, which are major job centers for the city. The project is developed by Barth Partners, a privately-held Los Angeles-based real estate development company that invests in residential and commercial real estate located in Southern California, with a greater focus in the Los Angeles area. Cumming Group, one of the most successful project management and cost consulting firms in the industry, led the construction management for this specific project

Scope of work

Cumming Group, the Construction Cost Management Rep of Barth Partners, brought Corbis to implement BIM technology for coordination during the design phases for faster and more accurate design delivery. The architect and the consultants provided their design drawings for our team to create and clash all models, prepare reports and share outcomes in the BIM Room session. Working together with the Construction Manager’s Project Manager, we established the project quality manual to ensure all stakeholders were clear on the BIM Clash Detection and Coordination goals. Since the consultant team was unfamiliar with the process, weekly meetings were consistently held via conference to keep everyone on the same page.
