With over 25 years of experience, Diego brings a proven track record of success in delivering turn-key stores for global retail and quick-service restaurant brands. As Director of Program Management at Corbis since 2022, Diego excels at understanding their needs and crafting strategic solutions that meet critical deadlines and budgets, ensuring flawless execution of branded concepts across all locations.
Diego is an Engineer with solid expertise in retail construction, cost estimating, branded architecture, and facilities management. His extensive international background, ranging from budget planning and execution to leading multidisciplinary development and construction teams for top-notch brands across more than 20 countries, assures business partners of his adaptability and global perspective.
His role in reducing construction costs is a testament to his financial acumen and ability to deliver cost-effective solutions. At McDonald's, the top player in the QSR segment, he led the Construction and Design Management of its 2,200+ restaurants in Latin America for over eight years. He promoted investment optimization strategies that resulted in a cost reduction of more than 15% in Central America and Brazil. At Wendy's and KFC Argentina-Chile, he served as Development Manager for the 130+ restaurants base, oversaw the leasing negotiation of new locations in the region, and the Construction and Maintenance structures, helping reduce construction costs by 3%.
Working on the side of the retail company gave him a particular perspective and understanding of the client, from the look and functionality of their stores to the complexities of their operations.
Diego's leadership at Corbis has led to successful partnerships with global brands. He spearheaded a remodeling program for Arcos Dorados, the largest McDonald's franchise, and partnered with Uniqlo to provide branded architecture for their US expansion plan. His assistance to Tory Burch on permitting and coordination issues was instrumental in minimizing change orders during their multi-site program in Paris.
He adds value to the company with his analytical skills, expertise in solving challenges, and an engineering approach defined by his tireless pursuit of excellence and dedication to achieving outstanding results.
Outside of his professional life, he takes refuge in his passion for running to look at the city from a different perspective. He has raced in the NY marathon three times, which is the perfect excuse to tour his place in the world.
