Formula 1 park is one of the architectural commercial projects in the Middle East we have participated in. This 2008 project consisted of a theme park located on the Road of Emirates freeway, one of the most important freeways in Dubai, UAE. It is meant to offer access to entertainment facilities such as simulator rides, live demonstrations, an interactive museum, retail outlets, restaurants, and memorabilia stores, all related to Formula 1. This theme park was designed to celebrate the spirit of Formula One Racing. The facility is planned to have a shopping area, a racing museum, a library, an IMAX theater, simulators, and even a driving school.
CorbisStudio’s scope of work consisted of developing the Construction Drawings set as well as the consultants’ coordination. The project was divided into four main areas: a Paddock zone, Vintage zone, IP zone, and a Kids Zone. Each of them was developed separately and consisted of low rise commercial buildings. The first job on this project was to clean up the design files and update the CAD and graphic standards to match our client's standards. The scope covered the IP Zone, Kids Zone, and the Paddock Zone. During the Detail Design stage, the team coordinated the drawing series and during the engineering revision, our AEC team was in charge of coordination and cross-check to update drawings based on structural and MEP reviews.
