The Mystic Lake Casino is owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC). The casino's gambling options include slots, bingo, video roulette, pull tabs, and live dealer blackjack. Mystic Lake also offers bars, restaurants, shows, special events, and accommodations. In 2018, Mystic opened its new addition: Mystic Lake Center. It consisted of a 70,000 square foot meeting and event space, whose main purpose is to accommodate groups of all sizes for a range of meetings and events. This new extension has a nine-story, 180-room tower and three ballrooms with flexible layouts. It also features several smaller meeting rooms and an executive conference room.
The scope of work proposed for Mystic Lake included 2 weeks of off-site remote support for document modifications using Blue-beam and subsequently the off-site Architect / Coordinator placement at CorbisStudio's office for 6 months. We provided architectural staff support working with Revit version 2018 for the project’s BIM modeling. As part of our working methodology, we placed an on-site coordinator who was in charge of preparing, sending and receiving project information for review and approval by the client. Other of the on-site coordinator main tasks was to coordinate resources, deadlines and design changes between the client’s team and the offsite team working from our offices.
