At the beginning of 2009, the remodeling of the University of Buenos Aires School of Social Science started. The project consisted of a remodeling and expansion project and included building new classrooms, a new auditorium, and an AV lab. Being a large scale project, it included working on 30 classrooms, 12 studio rooms, the auditorium, Research lab, elevators, 2 and bathrooms. The studio rooms are to be built underground and will be used for AV instruction and production. The auditorium will be of 750 square meters and will have a 700 people capacity. This remodeling included Air Conditioning, ventilation and heating installation. In summary, the new facilities will house more than 15,000 students. Once all the works of this stage and the third one are finished, the new building will count with more than 32,000 meters, that will make it University of Buenos Aires’s most important project in the last decades.
